Group reflection sessions

Throughout the programme you'll be invited to take part in optional group reflection sessions based on our Circle approach.

Circle offers a different kind of learning. It's not about discussing cases or solving problems. Instead, it's an opportunity to learn more about yourself in the company of others. Through listening, sharing and taking time to notice your own thoughts and feelings, you'll deepen your self-awareness and develop a greater understanding of the patterns that shape how you experience the work.

There will not be any pressure to contribute when you attend these sessions. You're warmly invited to attend with curiosity, sharing as much or as little as feels right for you.

Each session has a central theme that connects with the work of creating change. We'll explore leadership, boundaries and conflict. These are deeply human themes, and they're highly relevant to anyone trying to create safer workplaces.

We've both found Circle personally and professionally invaluable throughout our own careers, which is why we've chosen to include it as part of the programme. It provides a valuable container for some of the uncertainty, frustration and emotional complexity that can come with trying to create meaningful change.

We've also used Circle extensively with Rape Crisis services, where we've seen the difference it can make for people working alongside harm, trauma and denial.

So we warmly invite you to come along and try at least one of these sessions - even if it doesn't sound like your kind of thing - because you may be surprised at how powerful the simple act of listening to others, and sharing what you want, can be. If you're curious to find out more about our circle practice visit this page on our website.

Please note - if you do attend these sessions please attend in a space that is private for you so that you feel comfortable contributing to the discussion, please ensure that the sound from your device cannot be overheard by others (using headphones is ideal), and please attend for the full session so as not to disrupt the other attendees.
